Follower Appreciation

So I have been thinking a lot about doing a Follower Appreciation for a while now. I will be doing this on Wednesday's but I am a day late this week. I remember when I first decided to put my "Follow" gadget up on my blog. I was worried - maybe no one will follow me. But what got me so excited is that within a half hour I had my first follower. I was so excited!! By the end of that very first day I had 10 followers. Now my first follower was someone that I believe was her first time to my blog. The other followers were bloggers that I had found and been commenting to them and them commenting back for a while. So today I want to tell Janie that I so appreciate her for being my very first follower!!

Isn't that the happiest face ever!! Just her picture makes you want to get to know her better. Janie's blog is Sounding Forth. Though I do not get to comment as much as I like anymore I do still read her blog and I tell you she is one funny lady!! I promise you you will enjoy her adventures. I love how she refers to her husband - ThatManILove! Anyway she cracks me up so hop over and give her a holler!

Now if you think you may want to do this also let me know and next time I will put up a linky thingy and make a little button for us. For this week you can spread the word that I will be doing it on Wednesdays of each week.

I am also participating in a blog hop that a few friends were doing. Midday Escapades, One 2 Try and Hearts Makes Families are the hosts of this blog hop. It is called Friday Follow. Hop over and check it out and link up with us tomorrow.

Have a blessed day!

Tasteful Thursday (yum, yum)

Hello Everyone,

Is there such a thing? Well I don't know but I am going to share with you my football Saturday recipe. I make this every Saturday for the game. It is delicious!

Taco Crescent Ring
2 packages crescent rolls
1 lb. ground beef
1 envelope taco seasoning
shredded lettuce
chopped tomatoes
green onions
1 cup sour cream
salsa

Brown ground beef in a skillet. Drain off the grease. Add the contents of the taco seasoning and follow package directions.

Unroll the 2 packages of crescent rolls. On a pizza pan or cookie sheet, place the crescent roll wedges in a circle, with the wide side of edge towards the middle, pointed edge towards the outside. This is what it should look like:

Add the cheese to the ground beef and stir it in. Place the ground beef on the crescent rolls. Then wrap the pointed edges around the meat mixture so that it forms a ring. Like this:

Bake at 375 for 12 minutes (I usually make sure the middle is done). It should look like this:

Now you can put the lettuce in the middle, the tomatoes, green onions whatever you want. I usually just leave it like it is and have every thing sitting to the side. It is good with the garnishments but it is good plain too. Let me know if you like it.

I am continuing to revisit SITSta's blogs from Merry SITSmas day. It was a lot of fun. My hands were really tired and I still haven't caught up on my sleep but I would do it again. On a lot of those blogs I seen the "Followers" widget. I decided to add it to my blog. Feel free to click it and be added as one of my followers, that way I can visit you regularly too. Well better get back to work.

Have a blessed day!
