Weekend Fun and Grammy's Bragging

Hello Everyone,

This past weekend was a great one. We celebrated my daughter's birthday. I can't believe that she is 24 already. Where does the time go?

Saturday was her actual birthday and I had a great time. That night we went to my daughter's inlaws for a cook out. Great food and great company. There was tornado warnings every where but hey I guess that happens. lol She got a lot of nice stuff from her husband's grandparents, aunts, sister and his parents. They are great people and my daughter is really blessed in that area.

Like me Ray's Nana makes sure that anything he can get into is put up. Josh's grandparents are the same way. They just love him and you know if you want a child to come over to your house you need to care enough about them to move around your breakable stuff. It's really easy just moving it out of little hands' way. Now Ray minds very well so if he does go to touch something a stern no does make him stop. But it is nice when people take the extra step of moving their things. Both you and them can enjoy the company and not fretting over what he's going to get into.

So back to my weekend. Sunday we went to O'Charley's for Summer's dinner with my family. Summer has been wanting a Nintendo DSi so that's one of the things we got her. The same color to match her iPod. I posted how much Ray enjoyed the cupcakes at my niece's party the other day, well we decided to have cupcakes just for that reason. He enjoys just tearing into them.

He was so cute that people at surrounding tables were just laughing at him. The waiter asked to take a picture of him to put on myspace. They took like five or six of my baby with cupcake all over his face. What's funnier than that is that yesterday when we all went to lunch Ray was feeding himself and well got food all over his face. He then fell asleep and once again we were asked if someone could take a picture of him cause he's just so dang cute. See what I mean?

I tell you everywhere we go people are doting all over him. He does this little shy thing when people are looking at him he closes and opens his eyes lids. Like he's trying to flirt lol. The last time I remember getting so many compliments on a baby was his own mother. We always got the same reaction where ever we went. I guess like mother like son. lol

Another thing he does is if you tell him to flirt, he'll cock his head to the side and raise up his shoulder. It's darling. He has been throwing kisses for a while now and at first we would tell him to do it. Now he automatically does it every time we say bye to someone. He did it to Larry once when he was leaving and since I wasn't seeing Larry a whole lot to tell him what he was doing, Larry was so surprised. He kept saying I can't believe he threw me a kiss. lol

He is counting now and with momma's help says his ABC's. The other day when he was playing with his magnets he picked up the number 8 and said "B". Then he will say AEIOU. Remember he is only 18 months old! I guess that's enough of my bragging, I could go on and on!

I am so glad that this week is almost over. I so enjoy my weekends! Who made up working 5 days and only off 2 anyway? Well, until next time

Have a blessed day!
