So on Saturday afternoon we went to a BBQ at a friends house. After several hours visiting and having fun it was time to go home. Now let me just say that I don’t drink. I haven’t in years. That’s not to say that I won’t take a sip of a Margarita or Long Island Tea from my sister’s glass. It doesn’t mean that I don’t like to go out with girlfriends or sisters being the DD while they are all ‘partying’. It’s just not something I enjoy and religiously I don’t feel right about doing.
However, my hubs does. There has been countless times that I have had to be not only his DD but his friends’ as well. This is the only time I karaoke people. They are so – um – enjoying themselves that I know they won’t remember anything the next day. Seeing that I love to sing but I can’t carry a tune this is a good time to let my
screeching talent known.
There was no singing Saturday but I wanted to share a conversation between hubs and me as I put him to bed. Now he wasn’t slurring a lot but a little, sorry I don’t know how to type in slur.
Hubs: Your my BFF.
Me: Well your my BFF too.
Me: Your my BFF too.
Hubs: I can’t be your BFF!!
Me: Yes you can.
Hubs: No I can’t!!
Me: Well why can’t you be my BFF?
Hubs: Because I am not female.
Me: (giggling by now) I know you are not female.
Hubs: Then I can’t be your BFF.
Me: What does that have to do with being my BFF?
Hubs: I am not a female!
Me: What do you think BFF means?
Hubs: Best Female Friend!!
Have a blessed day!
