Blog Hop Tuesday - Favorite Book

Hello Everyone,

Today's theme is Favorite Book!!! Oh my word!! I do not know what to pick. When I was little I LOVED princess' books, adventure and funny ones. I loved Black Beauty and Ode To Billy Joe. But I also liked Jaws, Little Women, Helter Skelter (yes I read it!!) In the 90's I had the whole collection of Jenelle Taylor's Ecstasy series. I loved historical romance at that time. Gone With The Wind is one of my favorite movies so of course I had to read it and then the follow up book Scarlet but neither one of them is my favorite book. I have read Wuthering Heights, To Kill A Mockingbird, The Hobbit, The Shack, The Great Gatsby and Great Expectations. Soooo many!! I love Beth Moore's books too. The Bible is one of my favorites it has every thing in it!!

So after really thinking what one of favorite books is I have to say Frank Peretti's "This Present Darkness". It is the beginning of a series and they are all good reads.

So what is your favorite book? Until next time

Have a blessed day!

I'm a sucker for Gone With the Wind, too. I think it's probably my favorite, with To Kill a Mockingbird running a very close second, followed by Addie Pray, Flowers For Algernon, and...get this...One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.

So, here is mine. When I was a little girl my father would sit on the couch with me in his lap and read two books to me, one was Where the Wild Things Are. Between these two books I learned how to read and how to face life. Between these pages and my dad's voice is my childhood.

The other book that was read to me and brings back memories is The Frog and the Toad. This book also keeps my mind and memories alive.

What an assortment, you read Valerie! Me too. My favorite right now is I Love You All the Time. It's a children's book that I've read to Jack nearly each since I learned that I was pregnant with him. It helps me to focus and at challenging times, I will recite to him, "I love you when I'm mad at you and when I hug you tight. I love you all the time."

I haven't heard of this one. I love a variety of books too, so I'll have to look into it.

One of my favorites was The Other Boleyn Girl. I have never seen the movie. I just thought the book was incredible.

If you like Christian fiction, Valerie - you should read Francine Rivers' Redeeming Love...even if you're not into Christian fiction it is THE BEST love story, hands down! A little steamy...but THE BEST!!!!! Check it out!

This Present Darkness is pretty good, too. Frank Peretti's "The Visitor" is pretty good, too. :)
