Busy, Busy, and Busy

Hello Everyone,

Well Friday I said I would let ya'll know why I haven't been posting like I normally do. Life for me, as I know for many of you, has been especially busy! I usually have a really active life anyway but since about August it just seems like I am barely keeping up.

I still have to post pictures of my new grand baby, my daughters baby shower back in August because I want to show you what all I made. There are, of course, so many other events that have happened that I just can't list them all.

Along with being busy my boss had a heart attack on October 31. I have, up until last week, been holding down the office all on my own. Even now he is only here a few hours a couple of days. When he had his heart attack they did not expect him to live. He had been helping with his brother and his sister to care for his sick mother. After being in the hospital for about 4 days and being told they couldn't do any thing for him, his mother died. He did get to go to her house and see her but was so weak he had to leave. The night before his mother's funeral he had another heart attack. He has a lot of blocked arteries and so much scar tissue around his heart that they just cannot operate.

The doctors at first told him basically to go home and die. I'm not sure how much his prognosis has changed but he looks and sounds very weak. He tires easily. He is a very good man and he has been good to me. I was unable to share with you all of this because I was asked not to tell anyone. My boss is the type of guy that he will always ask you what can he do for you and literally mean it. If you say well I need this he will try his best to do it for you. So as of now I guess he is just living day by day. They told him that the next heart attack will kill him.

I decided back in September that I could handle taking two classes at my church. I soooo enjoy them! I have enjoyed the fellowship with my church family. But it has really tired me. One of the classes ended late last month and the other one ends tonight. I will be on break now until January 11th when our new bible study starts. I can't wait I just LOVE bible study.

I am so behind with Christmas. I have my Christmas buying pretty well done with just a few more things to go. I, however, have not put my Christmas tree up yet! I plan on doing it this weekend. One of the reasons why is I only have time to do such things during the weekend and it never is long enough. With my grand babies on Saturday, church and family time on Sunday there just isn't enough time. But this weekend I will have to get it done! The year my daughter was away at college I didn't put it up til Christmas eve. lol So maybe I am ahead of schedule. lol

Okay so tomorrow I will be posting my ornaments that I got from my swap!!! I am so excited to show ya'll what my partner sent me.

I am off now to get hubs a meatball sub from Subway, then to my class at church and then to a Wrestling reunion at my high school. It is for all wrestlers, coaches and mat maids. I still have my shirt from when I was a mat maid my sophomore - senior years. My daughter and her babies will be there. She was a mat maid from 7th - 12th grade and actually her and Miranda were over all the mat maids starting in their sophomore year. I remember definitely that she was over all of them her 11th and 12th grade years for sure. Her and her buddy Miranda even did a few matches while home from college after they graduated. My son-in-law was also a wrestler the years he was in school and did quite well. The current coach was actually a classmate of mine while I was in school. He coached my son-in-law and would often call my daughter asking her to do this or that for the wrestlers. He (the coach) was also there for my family when my brother passed away so many years ago. So I hope to see some old friends and have a great time watching Fultondale win a few matches.

Your Merry Christmas may depend on what others do for you. But your Happy New Year depends on what you do for others.

Have a blessed day!

Hoping your boss keeps defying the odds - and you get some rest, for Heaven's sake!

I'm so sorry to hear about your boss. I'm glad you were there to be able to keep the office together for him.

I feel you on being behind on Christmas! I can't wait to see your ornaments and more baby pics!
