I Love You Patrick!!!

Hello Everyone,

Oh what a sad text I got last night while leaving Bible study.

Patrick Swayze     died

It was from my sister. I LOVE him!!!

Oh gosh I think the first time I seen him was on The Outsiders I was 19. Then Red Dawn I thought how beautiful he was. Then there was Dirty Dancing – can’t even write about it just one word. Great. Oh and I can not forget Road House – also starring a wonderful man, Sam Elliott. One of my daughter’s favorite To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar. Loved him in that too. Next of Kin was a great movie too. I can’t list all of them but I will tell you if he was in it I seen it.

But my favorite movie of his had to be Ghost. I still cry when I see it. I also loved his skit on SNL with Chris Farley – too funny.

Here is one of my favorite lines from my favorite movie:

“It’s amazing, Molly. The love inside, you take it with you.”

Rest in peace Patrick. You were amazing!!

Have a blessed day!

Musical Monday- Movies!!

Hello Everyone,

So this is the last week of themes for Musical Monday. Kinda hate that, I enjoyed doing them. Today's theme is Music from Movies!

Ok let me just say that my mind right away jumped to Sleeping Beauty because I loved Once Upon A Dream. Then I thought about Cinderella, A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes. Love them!

Ok then I thought about Armageddon Aerosmith's Don't Want To Miss A Thing - love it! Then The Rose oh my goodness The Rose by Bette Midler what a wonderful song. The Bee Gees' Saturday Night Fever - all of their songs, with visions of John Travolta strutting down the street. Ahem . . . speaking of John Travolta - Grease! I love the entire soundtrack. There are a couple of participates that have done a couple of Grease songs. You need to check them out.

I could go on and on about favorite movies and their songs. But the one movie that always makes me cry even though I have seen it a million times is Ghost. I love it! The first heard the song as a little girl and liked it. But when I seen it in Ghost with that clay scene . . . yeah you know the one, I just fell in love with it. So I give you The Righteous' Brothers Unchained Melody.

Ok I am crying now.

Hop over to Jori's or Diane's blog to see other participates or to join in on the fun. I'm off to get some tissue.

Have a blessed day!
