SILENCE

That is what my home has been. The grand babies and their parents are on vacation. They left Sunday and well I really miss them. It takes some getting use to when a family of four move in with you. But things are going good.

My youngest grand baby has become accustomed  to banging on my bedroom door so that he can visit with us. Then whenever I walk into a room he is in he thinks I am there just to get him. If i speak to anyone in the room he is looking at me and saying “huh”. lol He’s so cute.

My oldest one spends his day roaring, stomping, singing and playing all over the house. He will put a blanket over his head and stomp and roar saying he is a dinosaur and that the blanket is his tail. He’ll get excited and come running into the living room to tell us something that we can’t even understand. I’ll be laying in bed and I can hear him laughing hysterically and it always makes me giggle. The other day he ran up to his mother and said “take a picture” then he said cheese. This is the result.

I miss those little faces!!

Friday was my birthday and I got cupcakes to celebrate. Well we put candles on them but every time we tried to light one Ray would blow it out. My youngest grand baby was just staring and looking at us all. I think he must have been really confused as to what we were doing.

I have a couple of prayer requests if ya’ll would remember me I would appreciate it. I can’t disclose them right now but God knows what they are. I will go for now but I have a lot going on and a lot to tell ya’ll. I am going to try to get back to regular blogging and reading blogs. I have really missed my blogging friends.

Have a blessed day!

Mama's Losin' It Writer's Workshop

Mama's Losin' It

I have been wanting to do Mama's Losin' It Writer's Workshop for a while now and just never have got around to it. So I decided I would do it today!!

So what you do is pick one of the prompts and, well write about it!

The Prompts:

1.) The heart that just wouldn’t quit.
2.) Relay an entertaining conversation or string of emails you recently had with someone.
3.) Open your picture folders…find a random “February” picture from a past year and tell a story.
4.) Childhood memory time: Write about something you loved to do as a child.
5.) “The ache for home lives in all of us, the safe place where we can go as we are and not be questioned” ~ Maya Angelou -Now write.

You know a Grammy is never going to pass up a chance to blog about her grandbabies so of course I picked #3!!

This is my oldest grandson he was 16 months in this picture. For those of you who have read my blog for a while this is the same picture I had as my header (back when I designed my own blog).  At this time in his life he was obsessed with glasses. He loved to wear them. These particular glasses were Diego glasses whom he still loves! The only story here really is the pure happiness of a child. And yes we have had his hair cut since this picture. lol

Now I know the assignment is for a past year but well, since this is the only February this little guy has seen I had to share it! This is Bruce and this is his first time in a Bumbo. It looks like he quite doesn't know what to think. lol Since this photo has been taken he has also experienced the joy of a Johnny Jumper! He is 6 months old by the way.

So I hope you enjoyed my first Writer's Workshop post. You really need to hop over to  Kat's blog and check out all the other posts! Or you can join in the fun!!!

Have a blessed day!
