Aloha Friday - Embarrassing Moment, A Blog Swap and A Pay It Forward

Hello Everyone,

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day that we take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My question is:

What is your most embarrassing moment?

Mine was when I was around 15 I had got all dressed up to go to some event. My sisters and I were walking to the event and they left a minute or two before I did. We lived on a little hill and the sidewalks were messed up with tree roots making them buckle up. I was hurrying to catch up with them when I tripped. Why was I so embarrassed? Because there were around 12 guys in the front yard of the house I tripped in front of. Boy was my face red!

When I was 10-ish my Aunt yanked on and pulled down my tube top in front of a bunch of other family. Pretty mortifying.

Mine is so similar to yours! I was at our '8th grade formal'-the first "real" dance you go to and get dressed up for and everyone was in a big circle while people would go in and dance in the middle and someone accidentally pushed me and stumbled to the middle of the circle and fell and my dress flew up over my head!

When I was about 18 I was running outside a store and fell in front of everyone. I could of crawled under a rock.

hee hee!

I remember one time we were in a store's parking lot, me and my mom were going one way, and my dad and brother were going another. They were ALL the way over on the other side of the lot when my mom yelled, "Larry! Be sure not to buy the underwear with the cartoon characters on them! They'll show through his white pants!" Omg... And I had to stand NEXT to this woman?!

Looking back it seems really silly that I was so embarrassed about that. But she said the U word in front of the WHOLE WORLD! lol

I have oh so many! Which to choose? How about when I was in elementary school I kept telling my mom that it was pj day. Long story short, I went to school in my pjs & of course it wasn't. I never participated in something like that again!

When you're a kid, everything involving the opposite sex is usually perceived as 'wrong'. Even as a adult I've made many a faux paus. I don't really remember any glaring ones at the moment. :o)

Okay, this is a long one. My husband and I used to share a townhouse with some other people. We stayed in the loft bedroom, and it would get hot, so we slept with the window open. One morning it was really loud outside so I sleepily got up to close the window so I could go back to sleep. Well, I sleep nude, and there were a bunch of guys working on the roof RIGHT OUTSIDE my window. They got a nice show, and I was mortified.

OMGosh, that was funny. I think I will make mine a post. So how is it going with your nephew? Any news and have you met him yet?
