Spiritual Sundays is where you can write a little something spiritual, a favorite scripture, poem, song or even a prayer. It is hosted by Charlotte and Ginger. Click on the picture to join or to read other Spiritual Sundays posts. When I am troubled or feeling weary there are three songs that I listen too. They have always touched me.
Surely The Presence Of The Lord Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place I can feel His mighty power and His grace I can hear the brush of angel’s wings I see glory on each face Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place
In the midst of His children The Lord said He would be It doesn’t take very many It can be just two or three And I feel that same sweet spirit That I felt oft times before Surely I can say I’ve been with My Lord
Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place I can feel His mighty power and His grace I can hear the brush of angel’s wings I see glory on each face Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place
There’s a holy hush around us As His glory fills this place I’ve touched the hem of His garment I can almost see His face And my heart is over flowing with the fullness of His joy And I know, without a doubt that I’ve been with the Lord
Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place I can feel His mighty power and His grace I can hear the brush of angel’s wings I see glory on each face Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place
Another one is by Carman. Now I love Carman. I have seen him several times and his concerts are just awesome. A lot of his songs touch me but I probably sing or play this one at least once a day. "I Feel Jesus".
I feel Jesus I feel Jesus I feel Jesus In this place Yes my soul does Burn within me I feel Jesus In this place Yes my soul does Burn within me I feel Jesus In this place I feel Jesus In this place I feel Jesus In this place
This one is a song I cry to every time I hear it. It just touches me. "How Great Thou Art" by Elvis.
How Great Thou Art Oh Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder Thy power throughout the universe displayed When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart Then I shall bow in humble adoration And there proclaim, my God how great Thou art Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee How great Thou art, how great Thou art Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee How great Thou art, how great Thou art
I am ready for church now! Thanks for indulging me with three of my favorites. Until next time
Have a blessed day!

Very nice. The only one that I have heard is the last one. Thanks for sharing :)
Thank you for posting these beautiful songs. I am especially partial to Elvis. I was fortunate enough to see him in concert in 1956. He was totally amazing. Have a wonderful Spiritual Sunday. Charlotte
G'evening Valerie, "Surely the presence of God is in this Place" -- Blink! That took me immediately back to my (former) church home, Unity Clearwater. The first time I heard it played, tears just sprung to my eyes. Isn't music a wonderful way of imparting His love?
Have a blessed night's rest and an even better tomorrow!
I like Carmen too! I and my kids saw one of his concerts at Arco Arena in Sacramento many years ago. My son was in grammer school and we were sitting up very high in the place and when Carmen asked for anyone who wanted to come to the lord to please come down by the stage my son said he wanted to go. Who was I to complain about the trip WAY DOWN THERE with the masses of people. So off we went. I have never forgotten that. I wonder if he has, I will have to ask him about that.
Ahh! I haven't heard that song "Surely the Presence" in so long! It was one of my mother's favorites. It brought tears to my eyes as I remembered her lifting her hands up to the Lord in praise while listening to that beautiful song. Thank you for sharing that today and unknowingly giving me a glimpse of my mother.

Beautiful. Thanks so much....I think I'm going to like this one!
The first video is not working, but I enjoyed the other two. I love Elvis and today I'm thinking that as great as he was, God is so much more GREAT.
Those are all great songs! Thanks for an encouraging post!
