Fast Living!

That is how life has seemed here lately! I have had a great day today. It started with a meet-up at Irondale Cafe - The Original Whistlestop Cafe. It is the same restaurant that was featured in the movie "Fried Green Tomatoes" (I linked to a You Tube clip of the original movie trailer) If you haven't seen it you will really enjoy it. Ok back to the meet-up it was held and hosted by my friend Rachel of Alabama Bloggers.

I always enjoy the Alabama Bloggers meet-ups. At today's meet up there were three new bloggers that I had never met. I don't have their links right now but if they link up at the Alabama Bloggers site you can find them there. The ones that I knew that were there was Wade (he has several blogs!) Drew (Okra Cola) , Rhoda (Southern Hospitality), Amy (Ordinarily Extraordinary) and of course Rachel (Grasping for Objectivity).

I had the Beef Tips and Rice. I don't think I have ever expressed that one of my favorite foods, besides Mexcan - it is ALWAYS first, is beef tips and rice. I can not make beef tips and rice to save my life. I have the rice down but not the beef tips. So any tips out there on how to make it good and not tough I'd appreciate!!! The food at the Irondale Cafe is sooo good. Good southern food!! I did not get the fried green tomatoes - people that like that say they are really good, I just do not like it. But I do not eat tomatoes on anything - so. But the beef tips and rice and the roll I got was delicious. If you want some good southern food you need to head on over to the cafe.

There is so much going on at home and at work that these days are just flying by. Before I know it it is the end of May. There has been a few changes in my life lately and will fill you in next week. I have a lot of catching up to do and since I now have a little more time on my hands I will be able to get back to regular programming blogging!

Thought I would share this picture with you. My 9 month old grandson likes to antagonize. He is always picking on his older brother, our dog Chico and even me!!! He gets so tickled with himself that he just starts smiling and wiggling all over. These two little guys always bring a smile to my face!!

Have a blessed day!

It's hard to believe both of our grandchildren are 9 months old! I have Audrina every Friday night, we have so much fun and Saturdays we go where ever we decide just having good bonding time.
