Veterans Day
By Taylor Weinman
Representing the red white and blue
The colors of our flag stand out proud and true.
The white stars on blue background with red and white stripes
Remind me of these veterans, who all risked their lives.
Just so the people of the U.S. could all live in peace and be free.
These are the heroes that represent you and me.
They stood up strongly, untied as one,
And kept up the fighting until they were done.
And although some have fallen, and lost their lives in war,
We pray for each one of them.
And now that their souls live on forever more,
Above in God’s hands. They watch over our nation,
And give us strength to triumph over others with strong anticipation.
So every year, when this day comes by,
Think of all the veterans that while fighting, had to die.
And remember that they were people
With fire and passion embedded inside.
They die for this country, So remember and honor them with pride.
I wanted to post this in remembrance of all the soldiers who gave their lives for all of us. Also in remembrance of my grandfather and my hubs’ grandfather.
I won't forget about all the soldiers like my dad and step-father who are still among us and served their country – THANK YOU!!
Have a blessed day!

Lovely post - have a fabulous day!!
Great Post!!! Hope you are well!
That is an absolutely wonderful poem. There are so many to be grateful for!
Wow! More people should be so grateful. Since so many of us are thinking about our precious freedoms despite the challenging economic times, one person is braving the battle of truth by telling women (and men) and kids what too many men are afraid to address. Maybe you've heard of the alex opalstone site with the article "Why Are So Many So-called Expert Financial Advisors Broke?" - it's a viral worthy article. There are physical battles, emotional battles, financial battles and spiritual battles. That site (alex opalstone) gives me hope and causes me to have a long list of things to be grateful for. Happy Thanksgiving!
