Larry's 50 and Roll Tide Roll!!!!

Hello Everyone!

First off Happy Birthday Larry!!!! Larry turned 50 this past Monday the 25th. We left on Sunday and stayed til Tuesday at the casino in Mississippi, The Golden Moon. Larry actually won instead of spending what I won. My mom and Manuel, Helen, Anthony, Cody, Larry's mom Katherine and her husband Bob all went. We had a good time. We stopped on the way there at Tuscaloosa and had lunch with my nephews, Tony and Matt, at the Olive Garden. Great food and great company.

Well all I have to say is ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a great game it was Saturday night! We beat a number 9 ranked team, Clemson, 34-10! So, again, all I can say is Roll Tide Roll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fultondale won Thursday night they beat a number 3 ranked team, Addison. Way to go Cats!!

We didn't particularly do anything this weekend. It was my weekend with the baby again and again he was just wonderful. He is the happiest baby ever. We didn't really do anything Saturday but go shopping and then just played.

Sunday we had a good surprise. While I was making pancakes my mother called and said that Manuels nephew David was in from California. He is apparently working in Mississippi right now setting up to do repair work because of the hurricane. Manuel was so excited. Other than my brother's funeral, where his cousin and one brother came out, none of his family has ever visited here. David left Mississippi not knowing where they lived. He just happened to stop in Fultondale at the Days Inn and called information and got their number. I just think it's ironic that he stopped in the town that we all have lived, and I still live, and went to school. Out of all the places he could have stopped. We had a good visit with him and went out to eat. It was great for Manuel and I know he really was happy to see him. We are planning another get together on the 13th.

I was really proud, as always, to be able to show off my grandbaby to him. He is always the center of attention. He loves it! He really enjoys when people laugh and if he is doing something he'll keep doing it. He is so smart too. Hes learning lots of new words. At one of our family reunions I was introducing him to my Aunt Patty. I was saying, "This is Aunt Patty Ray" and he started to do patty-cake. We all just died laughing.

My weekends are usually busy. After getting home Tuesday from the casino and having to work the rest of the week and knowing I had Ray that weekend, I knew I wouldn't get to clean. So Monday was suppose to be my cleaning day. Well, it didn't quite work out that way. I got the kitchen cleaned, which really wasn't dirty just a few dishes, then I moved into the living room. Before I knew it it was time to go get Ray. We spent a few hours with him and we had so much fun playing with him. I got the living room cleaned but not the dining or bath room. So needless to say I'll have to do it today. I just hate cleaning after working all day.

Well that's about it for right now. Hopefully I'll be able to blog a little more later in the week. Roll Tide and I hope you have a great week!

Have a blessed day!

Valerie
