Thursday night at Bible study we had to tell what was our spiritual go to song. I had no problem listing mine: How Great Thou Art, I Feel Jesus, Fear Not My Child and Who Am I. All are my favorite but I forgot another one that is my go to song. “When I Don’t Know What To Do” by Tommy Walker. I couldn’t find a video by Tommy Walker but I found this one on You Tube. The singer is name Drew Grounds. I have posted the lyrics below also. I hope you enjoy it!
Lord I surrender all to Your strong and faithful hand
In everything I will give thanks to You
I'll just trust Your perfect plan
When I don't know what to do
I'll lift my hands
When I don't know what to say
I'll speak Your praise
When I don't know where to go
I'll run to Your throne
When I don't know what to think
I'll stand on Your truth
When I don't know what to do
Lord I surrender all
Though I'll never understand
All the mysteries around me
I'll just trust your perfect plan
When I don't know what to do
I'll lift my hands
When I don't know what to say
I'll speak Your praise
When I don't know where to go
I'll run to Your throne
When I don't know what to think
I'll stand on Your truth
When I don't know what to do
As I bow my knee
Send Your perfect peace
Send Your perfect peace Lord
As I lift my hands
Let Your healing come
Let Your healing come to me
As I bow my knee
Send Your perfect peace
Send Your perfect peace Lord
As I lift my hands
Let Your healing come
Let Your healing come to me
As I bow my knee
Send Your perfect peace
Send Your perfect peace Lord
As I lift my hands
Let Your healing come
Let Your healing come to me
When I don't know what to do
I'll lift my hands
When I don't know what to say
I'll speak Your praise
When I don't know where to go
I'll run to Your throne
When I don't know what to think
I'll stand on Your truth
When I don't know what to do

I haven’t posted a Spiritual Sundays post in over two weeks. The last two Sundays I have been sick and didn’t even get out of bed.
My hubs has had this friend for a long time. He writes songs and poems. He has given me a book of his writings and in that book are white copy paper of more of his poems and songs. My hubs had to work yesterday and when he came home he handed me two more of these poems and songs. I do enjoy getting them and reading them. Here is one of the one’s he gave me yesterday.

I asked God to take away my pain. God said, No. It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up. I asked God to make my handicapped child whole. God said, No. Her spirit was whole, her body was only temporary. I asked God to grant me patience. God said, No. Patience is a by-product of tribulations; it isn't granted, it is learned. I asked God to give me happiness. God said, No. I give you blessings. Happiness is up to you. I asked God to spare me pain. God said, No. Suffering draws you apart from worldly cares and brings you closer to me. I asked God to make my spirit grow. God said, No. You must grow on your own, but I will prune you to make you fruitful. I asked for all things that I might enjoy life. God said, No. I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things. I asked God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me. God said . . . Ahhhh, finally you have the idea. --Author Unknown--
I like this poem it is a reminder to me that some of the things that we ask God for are things that we can obtain on our own. It really is up to us on whether we decide to be happy or sad. If we are angered by people it is up to us to decide whether or not we are going to let those people take our joy from us. Like we may ask God for something, but we can't just sit at home and wait for it to happen. It is up to us to get out there and try to get it if we have done all that we can then go to God and tell him you need His help. We as Christians have to be active, we can't expect God to obtain or do everything for us.

Surely The Presence Of The Lord Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place I can feel His mighty power and His grace I can hear the brush of angel’s wings I see glory on each face Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place
In the midst of His children The Lord said He would be It doesn’t take very many It can be just two or three And I feel that same sweet spirit That I felt oft times before Surely I can say I’ve been with My Lord
Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place I can feel His mighty power and His grace I can hear the brush of angel’s wings I see glory on each face Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place
There’s a holy hush around us As His glory fills this place I’ve touched the hem of His garment I can almost see His face And my heart is over flowing with the fullness of His joy And I know, without a doubt that I’ve been with the Lord
Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place I can feel His mighty power and His grace I can hear the brush of angel’s wings I see glory on each face Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place
Another one is by Carman. Now I love Carman. I have seen him several times and his concerts are just awesome. A lot of his songs touch me but I probably sing or play this one at least once a day. "I Feel Jesus".
I feel Jesus I feel Jesus I feel Jesus In this place Yes my soul does Burn within me I feel Jesus In this place Yes my soul does Burn within me I feel Jesus In this place I feel Jesus In this place I feel Jesus In this place
This one is a song I cry to every time I hear it. It just touches me. "How Great Thou Art" by Elvis.
How Great Thou Art Oh Lord my God, when I in awesome wonder Consider all the worlds Thy hands have made I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder Thy power throughout the universe displayed When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart Then I shall bow in humble adoration And there proclaim, my God how great Thou art Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee How great Thou art, how great Thou art Then sings my soul, my Savior God to Thee How great Thou art, how great Thou art
I am ready for church now! Thanks for indulging me with three of my favorites. Until next time

Did you know that the phrase "God will never give you more than you can handle" is not in theBible?
I wanted to share 1 Corinthians 10:13 with you. It reads (NIV):
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
This is the scripture where that phrase originates from. Does it even sound any thing like the phrase that it is tied to? I find it amazing that to me it doesn't. Well it might in a way.
The phrase in question, as I understand it, means God will never give me anything that I can't handle/bear emotionally. But the verse itself alludes to temptation. "You will not be tempted beyond what you can bear and you will have the strenth to bear it" to me that's what the verse means. So exactly what is temptation? Mr. Webster?
2 : something tempting : a cause or occasion of enticement
So does this verse state that while I may be inclined to do something he will give me the strength to overcome this temptation? I think it does.
So when we are facing trials what verses can we turn to? I love James 1:2-4 (NIV):
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
What are you thoughts? When you are going through trials what is your go to verse?
I do have a few prayer requests today too. My brother's girlfriend Patty just found out that her 16 year old son Jake has two blastoma tumors in the back of his brain. From what we understand it is cancer. Two doctors have refused to operate. Now Patty is such a sweet lady. My brother is in love with her and of course you can imagine that this is tearing her up. She is asking for all of our prayers. Her son is really taking this hard. They will be going back to the doctor's on Tuesday to find out about radiation and chemotherapy. Please remember them in your prayers.
Also Baby Jarrod has gained up to 4 lbs. they can not do any surgeries until he is 5 lbs. Here is a little background on Baby Jarrod. Please remember him and his family in your prayers as they are dear friends to me and my daughter.
Beautiful Child of God
Getting some loving from his mommy.
