Roll Tide Roll Baby!!!

Hello Everyone,

I haven't blogged a lot this year about my favorite football team. I have just been a little busy. We have had a great season!!! We are use to winning! We have had a few bad years lately but we are BACK!!! Last month we played for the SEC Championship once again. This time that other team had NOTHING for us!! They looked kinda shocked every time they walked off the field!! This was our 22nd SEC Championship!! No other team even comes close to winning that many!!

This year for the very first time ever we have a Heisman Trophy winner too!!! He's Mark Ingram!
In eight of his last nine games he rushed for 99 or more yards, totaled 1,542 yards and 15 rushing touchdowns. He also caught for 322 yards and three touchdowns. He so deserved the Heisman!! The Bama Nation is definitely proud of him too!!

Even when my team is losing I still wear the Crimson and White proudly. I am not a fair weather fan I am a Win or Lose Fan!!! Meaning whether or not we win or lose this is MY team! The Tide has been a part of my life all of my life! But today, well tonight, at 7:00 pm CST my beloved Crimson Tide will be playing another team for the National Championship!!! We haven't won a National Championship since 1992! We are overdue! If you are not part of the Bama Nation then you just don't understand. We are a special breed. We are winners!!

Tonight I hope you join me in cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide!!! I have a good feeling that we will be bringing home the National Championship! But you know what? Even if we don't they are still my team and I am still so very proud of them!!!

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!

"If wanting to win is a fault as some of my critics seem to insist, then I plead guilty. I like to win. I know no other way. It's in my blood." Coach Paul Bear Bryant

Your Merry Christmas may depend on what others do for you. But your Happy New Year depends on what you do for others.

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!

Hello Everyone!!

Alabama Bloggers

Today is the “Score For Your Team Football Carnival” over at Alabama Bloggers. Well you know that I just had to join in. Everyone that knows me, reads my blog or hey even looks at my header knows that I am a BIG BIG BIG ALABAMA FAN!!!

Loving the Crimson Tide was passed on to me by my beloved grandfather and grandmother. You rarely seen my grandfather without a Alabama jacket or hat on. Some of my best memories are being at their house and watching Alabama Football!!

Growing up it was always loud at my house, with six kids you can understand why. But when Alabama was playing I am sure it sounded like the biggest brawls ever. Screaming, shouting, cheering and yes even cursing.  I have great memories of the time spent with my siblings watching the games and cheering on our team.

As I got older I went with my school to Legend Field to help with selling items such as peanuts, cokes and hot dogs. We would walk up and down the isles. It was a great way to be at an Alabama game. I seen Coach Bear Bryant up close many times from volunteering to do this. Great fun!!!

I would also visit T-town every weekend as I became a young adult. It was a town full of electricity when Bama was playing. I have so many great memories of friends, fun, food and the Crimson Tide. Let’s not forget the tailgating. You have got to experience tailgating at the University of Alabama!!

When I got married it had to be to an Alabama man. We unfortunately are not fit to be anywhere during a game. Nowadays we do our screaming cheering from our own living room. We are just too overly enthusiastic to be at anyone else's home or in public. lol Trust me, we like it like this!

No one escapes wearing a Alabama shirt on Fridays and Saturdays. Even Chico has his own shirt!

Here is the best video that I have found that expresses the way I feel about the Crimson Tide!!!

This video gives me goose bumps!!!

I can not do a post about our great Alabama Crimson Tide without including the words to our fight song.

"Yea, Alabama!"

Yea, Alabama! Drown 'em Tide!

Every 'Bama man's behind you;

Hit your stride!

Go teach the Bulldogs to behave,

Send the Yellow Jackets to a watery grave!

And if a man starts to weaken,

That's a shame!

For 'Bama's pluck and grit

Have writ her name in crimson flame!

Fight on, fight on, fight on, men!

Remember the Rose Bowl we'll win then!

Go, roll to victory,

Hit your stride,

You're Dixie's football pride, Crimson Tide!

If you are an Alabama Crimson Tide football fan hop over to Alabama Bloggers and join in on the carnival. If your not a fan I feel sorry for ya!!! lol Until next time

Have a blessed day!! Oh and

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!

The Weekend, Bible Study & A Meet Up

Hello Everyone,

We had such a great weekend. Hubs and I did absolutely nothing! I love weekends like that.

Saturday we had Ray and did we have fun. We had bought Ray a used pop up tent a few weeks back well Saturday we discovered we were missing some poles. So being the problem solvers that we are we used the rods that came with our two person motorcycle tent. Let me tell you that before we could get it up Ray was in it! He then was running back and forth putting all of his toys in there with him. He was really having a great time. We have decided that we are going to try to find him one with Diego on it – he loves Diego. lol

On Sunday all of my family but me and my sister were at the lake. I don’t like going to the lake because of my transplant I can’t get in the water. Well that’s what the doctor’s told me. I have an appointment on Thursday and am going to ask again.

Summer, Josh and Ray came over also on Sunday to wish hubs a Happy Father’s Day. Larry wanted another painting from Summer and she painted him on canvas with oils a picture of Big Al leaning against a goal post with a hounds tooth hat on. If you are an Alabama fan you know exactly what I am talking about. Whenever there is a present to be given to him from Summer Larry requests that she paint him something. He absolutely loved it! He had been bugging me all weekend about what the painting would be of. I am happy to say that I did not give in an inch!

Praise the Lord!!! My hubs who was laid off back in April was called back to work!!! He went back yesterday and let me tell you it was just in time. We have made it on my income alone and due to a little tightening of the belt we made it through. We have not gotten any extras (other than my lunches with my sisters lol) and it is good to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I tend to get a little testy when we are low on funds and hubs even remarked that I hadn’t been. I told him that I hadn’t felt like I needed too. I can only attribute that to God because I had the feeling that every thing was going to be ok.

I am excited about today! Today is the start on The LPM Blog of Summer Bible Study!! I am also excited that I am joining a group of ladies here in Birmingham for that study. Jamie at Happy Harper Stories is arranging this group and I am so thankful that she is. She was truly a God send to me. Oh and she has an award for me that I need to go pick up too.

I had so much fun Thursday when I went to my first blogger meet up. I met some great people there and am still trying to visit their blogs. Unfortunately the pictures I took are stuck in my camera as my batteries are dead AGAIN! But hop over to Alabama Bloggers and check out the Rachel’s post about the meeting.

Well I guess that’s all I have for now, I am sure I am forgetting something. Until next time

Have a blessed day!

Grandparenting Time

Hello Everyone,

ROLL TIDE TOLL!!!!! We didn't win but I am proud of our boys!! We have the same record as Florida but will have to pull for them in the National Championship game. Wow what a game but the CRIMSON TIDE has had a great season! Sugar bowl here we come! Congratulations to all the players, coaches and to the BAMA NATION! Congratulations to Florida.

So today we are getting our grandbaby for the day. We are going to go visiting the great grandparents and the aunties and cousins. Once again I am so grateful to my daughter and SIL for letting us get him as much as we do. I only say this because I actually know people whose children do not ever let them have their grandchildren. I understand some of their children's reasons, a lot of them don't because their parents don't make the children mind. They let them brake all of the rules and then send them home. This is really only hurting the children cause when they get home they misbehave and get in trouble.

As grandparents we have to abide by our children's rules for their children. I may not always agree with them but they are their children. I remember how I use to get mad with my mom for telling me I should do this or that. So when my grandchild is with me I have my own rules and I have my daughters. I would hate to think that because of me he gets in trouble when he goes home because I was lax in grandparenting him (is there such a word? lol). Of course I am no expert, I have only been a Grammy for a year, however this is the main reason I have heard for kids not letting their parents keep their kids. I think it's sad because I would hate it if my daughter wouldn't let me keep my Ray.

Speaking of my Ray he is already jumping from the couch, rolling on the ground and jumping up and laughing. Like a commando. Now I just think that he is way to young for this kind of activity. I only had one girl, no boys, but I don't even remember my nephews doing that until they were at least 2. Any of you mom's with boys, did any of yours do this at such an early age? If so, how in the world am I going to keep up with him? lol

I do look forwad to the day he can say Grammy. He already says Nana, Papa and Paw. So that covers all the grandparents but me. He calls me "Duck". Speaking of grandparents before Josh's grandmother died last month, Ray had 16 grandparents, great-grandparents and step-grandparents. All of which love to spoil him. He can even say a couple of their names like Gigi and Pops. So why can't he at least say Gram or Gam instead of "Duck"? I guess I should feel lucky though everybody else is "Dog".

I guess I need to go, got to make sure the house is child proof so that Ray can have the run of it. Hope everyone has a great Sunday.

Have a blessed day!

Iron Bowl Day!!! Roll Tide Roll!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone,

I guess if your not part of the southern United States you may not know anything about the Iron Bowl. Let me enlighten you:

The Iron Bowl is the name for the annual college football game between the University of Alabama Crimson Tide and the Auburn University Tigers. The series is considered one of the best and most hard-fought rivalries in all of sports. As the rivalry was mainly played in Birmingham for many years, the name of the Iron Bowl comes from the amount of iron deposits surrounding the city.

Overall, Alabama leads the series with a 38–33–1 overall record; however, Auburn currently owns a six-year winning streak.FromWikipedia, the free encyclopedia

It is the biggest rivalry. We wait on this game all year long. You have to be for either Alabama or Auburn. There is no in between. This game causes fights between father and son, mother and daughter, siblings, cousins, friends it is that intense. Bragging rights for a year is our prize, and we want that prize!!

It's been too long since Alabama has won. We will win today!!!

Yes, that is a Tiger under his paw. Here kitty kitty. We ARE ready!! ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!

Have a blessed day!

Alabama 11-0!

Hello Everyone,

I just want to say Roll Tide Roll!!!! Alabama Crimson Tide is 11-0. We are off this Saturday but our next game will be against Auburn. If you know anything about Alabama football you know that Auburn is our biggest rivals. Bear Bryant put it this way:

"Sure I'd like to beat Notre Dame, don't get me wrong. But nothing matters more than beating that cow college on the other side of the state."

I absolutely love that quote.

We had a great weekend. I got a few things done that I'd been meaning to do. I had Ray Saturday night and I enjoyed my time with him. He is just sooo cute.

That's all I have time for today. It's already 5:37 p.m. and I haven't left work. I still need to run by Walmart and then go home and cook. A woman's job is never done! I'll post again tomorrow. Oh I got my CWB button it's on the right, I was so excited to get it. lol I hope everyone has a great evening.

Have a blessed day!
