Sad Situations

Hello Everyone,

I haven't been feeling well since Sunday evening. However, I was like a lot of you keeping up with Little April Rose's coming into this world. It is sad for me to tell you, if you don't already know, that this seems to have been all a rouse. You can get a detail story at Jennifer's, Raechel's and Angie's blog. I had asked you all to pray for this family on a few occasions, please know that all of our prayers were in good faith. That our intentions were good and that God knows our hearts. It is obvious that this person still needs our prayers as something is definitely going on with her.




Sometimes it is hard to pray for someone you might have ill feelings for. I have had to do this myself in the last year. Now I just pray that they leave me alone lol. But just remember that people like this need more prayer as they are hurting themselves. It is sad.

I am going to ask you to also remember my brother's girlfriend Patty's son Jake. His story is at the end of this post. They were told today that radiation and chemotherapy wouldn't help. That he has 12 - 18 months to live. They have been turned down by St. Jude's Hospital in Memphis. She is leaving for Atlanta to go to yet another doctor. Jake doesn't want his classmates or friends to know. He doesn't want to talk about it at all. This is a lot for a 16 year old to take in. Please pray for them. I know that Patty is really hurting and is doing what every mother would do. Trying to find some kind of help for her only child. An awful situation that no one would want to be faced with.

Wear Pink Tomorrow for April Rose

Work, Bracelets and HIS Will Wednesdays

Hello Everyone,

Oh wow I have had a couple of real busy days. Work just kept piling up on my desk last week. But because of how great I am today I knocked out everything!! lol A whole week's worth of work gone. So tomorrow I have to file, file, file. We have had some changes going on at my work before I took off last week. I have had to keep on my boss about him doing things the wrong way. So I just knew when I got back this week that I was going to have to say something to him for messing up. Well I was surprised he didn't mess up at all! You just don't know how shocked I was.

Remember SITS Spring Fling and this post? Well I got the bracelet from Christine at Tags & Stones and I haven't posted it on here yet. I had decided I was going to give it to my daughter so I had Christine put my daughter's name, her husband's name, and their son's name on the tags. I also had her include their birthstone gems. The best part is when my daughter has her other baby she will be able to add a tag and birthstone for him. So here it is:



Now I know you can't read the names with this picture but it is really great. If I can get a better picture I'll swap it out. I had to use my phone camera and just couldn't get it to look right. I absolutely loved it!

Speaking of bracelets I hadn't realized that I hadn't posted about my present from my daughter, son-in-law and grandson. They gave me this beautiful bracelet.



Now I love it. I loved it so much that I thought it would go with anything and I could wear it always. Well that very night my husband asked me to cut his hair and I thought well I know it's there I'll be real careful. So I wore it while I was cutting his hair. You guessed it! I cut the cross right off. I got so mad at myself. So I told Summer who laughed about it and promptly ordered me a new one. Isn't she great?

Remember this post about April Rose? Well her mother is starting a HIS Will Wednesdays she was so overwhelmed with all the love and support she has received that she has started this to have prayers for others. Oh and by the way she is now 37 weeks!! That is just amazing! Hop over and check it out!

Biopsy News

Hello Everyone,

Monday was a very long day for me. My daughter and I got to the hospital at around 5:45 a.m. I then had to wait to do my labs. After that I was admitted into the hospital and taken to my room. At around 8:45 the doctor came in and explained the procedure to me. They got the sonogram machine and located my kidney. At which time they marked my belly with a black marker. Because even though they have a sonar they do the biopsy blind. So I was kinda like what if you miss? Ya know?

They gave me two shots to numb the area they were going to insert the needle into then I had to let them know whenever I felt anything. The part I was really worried about was the actual slicing of the kidney. The last biopsy I had they numbed the area they were inserting the needle into but not my kidney. I actually felt them slice my kidney twice. Ouch! Luckily though this doctor believes in numbing the kidney also. So after they inserted the needle they gave my kidney a shot and it was numb. I was much more relaxed when I heard they were going to do that.

The procedure was faster than I thought. I had to lay on my right side for an hour and make sure that pressure was being applied to the area. After that hour I was to lay in bed for 6 hours. No getting on my feet at all. I was uncomfortable and when I found out that I would have to use a bed pan to use the bathroom, I was like no way! I hate using a bed pan!

So began my holding in my urine for all those hours. By the time my time was up I was ready to explode. I had to make sure that there was no blood in my urine also. They were talking about keeping me over night and I wasn't really ready for that. They hadn't mentioned it before so I wasn't prepared. Luckily they didn't have to. I got home around 7 p.m. Monday night. Now for the next two weeks I can not lift anything, I can't climb stairs, I can't walk too much. I am to take it easy as much as I can. Blah, blah, blah. During the next two weeks if I see any kind of blood than I am to go straight to the emergency room.

Sorry I didn't post yesterday I spent all day in bed. I just felt drained and I was relaxing. Larry stayed home which was a surprise. I was expecting him to leave Monday for work but instead he stayed Monday and Tuesday. More time with him was great. He also waited on me hand and foot. lol

The preliminary diagnoses is that the blood vessels to my kidney have become restricted. When we first seen my kidney on the sonar I had mentioned to the doctor that it looked small to me and he had confirmed that it did. So I guess that is the reason it looked small. Now these are the preliminary findings. They said they probably wouldn't get all the biopsy results back until Friday or even Monday. So for now that is all they know.

In the meantime they have changed my medicine. They have increased one of my medicines that is suppose to not only help the blood vessels but also protect my kidney. I go back on April 30th to find out the plan of action. So until then that is basically all I know.

I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. I'll be sure to let you know if they call and anything else comes up.

Remember this post? Well April has made it to 35 weeks! Her prognosis still isn't good but I know God still performs miracles and will continue to pray for her and her family. Also, Stellan had surgery yesterday hopefully he is on his way to a full recovery. Let's keep him and his family in our prayers also.
