Music, Saturday, Bikes and Sickies

Hello Everyone,

I was visiting over at Kymber's @ A New Day Dawning today and fell in love with this song she had on her blog. I had never heard it before. I hope you enjoy it!

Such a beautiful song and also a reminder that when we need to all we have to do is Cry Out To Jesus and He will be there for us!

Saturday was very busy for me. My day started early as I had to babysit my 4 year old niece. My niece is very talkative. I had forgot how much children talk at this age and how many questions they ask. What I did enjoy was how many times she told me during the day that she loved me. "I love you Auntie Val" beautiful words!

First we had to drop my Chico baby off at the groomers. He didn't like this at all. We had a busy day with shopping for a baby shower gift. Then we went shopping for several other items I needed. Off to the Dollar Store for wrapping paper (yeah I'm cheap!). I bought her and Ray a little something there. Then we went to visit Ray and Summer. Off we all went to meet my sister to drop off my niece. Then we were off to the baby shower.

We had a really good time and it was nice chatting with old friends. My daughter still had a wedding to go to that night but not me. I was lucky enough to go home. I was napping by 5:00 p.m.

It was around 8:30 p.m. when I woke up. I heard an all too familiar sound in our driveway. It was a Harley. But what was confusing in the mist of me waking up was that a stereo sound was coming from the Harley. So I woke Larry up and said someone is here on a Harley blaring their stereo. We have a lot of friends with Harley's and my mind was trying to think who do we know that has a stereo on their Harley?

Well it turned out to be some very old friends of my husband's. His old traveling and riding buddies. This friend of his hasn't had a Harley in over 10 years. My hubs was so excited that one of his old riding buddies has finally bought one. Although I didn't get a picture of their bike because it was so dark outside here is basically what they bought.

So they visited with us for a couple of hours and we made plans to go riding this weekend. My hubs is so looking forward to it. They have just had their 2nd grandchild six weeks ago and we were telling them that our second would be here in September.

We were all just amazed about how time has flown by and that our children are now parents. It has been quite a while since both Larry and I had seen Penny. We see more of her husband since he works with Larry. So it really was a nice visit and I look forward to this weekend.

It was Sunday when things started getting a little bad for me. I woke up feeling ok but as the morning progessed I just got to feeling the sickies. Larry and I both just laid around the house not doing much of anything. Well Monday morning I got up and was knocked to my knees. I was just so sick feeling. It lasted all day and I spent most of it in bed.

Larry was feeling fine until Tuesday evening. That is also when our dog even got sick and I was cleaning up after him. By Tuesday evening I was feeling better but both of their fun had just begun. Larry was still feeling ill this morning and since he hasn't called me all day I am feeling like he still doesn't feel well. I am happy to report that my dog is feeling much better though. lol

Well I guess that is all I have for now. I need to wrap things up here at work and head to Wally World! I hope everyone has a great evening. Until next time

Have a blessed day!

Almost Back To Normal

Hello Everyone,

I am back! Not 100% but close enough. I am still feeling a little weak but I believe it is because I haven't been getting enough fuel intake. Meaning food. I have literally only had 2 ham sandwiches in as many days. On Sunday I did not eat anything. So hopefully after a decent meal this evening I will be feeling closer to 100%.

I have been missing blogging and reading blogs. I haven't been on the internet since my post on St. Patty's Day. I have missed everyone. Since I have had internet problems lately I have noticed that Charter Communications has a great deal on their bundle packages. I am thinking about switching everything over to them. Do any of you use them and if so, how are they?

Well let me get off of here now I need to get dressed. Larry, Summer, Josh, Ray and I are going to a get together with family from Florida. They are visiting and we always have a good time seeing them. Ever since Larry met my cousin's husband they feel like brothers. They always have such a good time and it's fun watching them together. Of course I always enjoy seeing my cousin too.

Have a blessed day!

A Sick and Snowy Weekend

Hello Everyone,

Oh what a weekend! Not in a good way. Friday was fine. Saturday came around and I spent a few hours with my son-in-law and grandson. I was suppose to take Ray with me for the day. I started feeling a little weak. So I spent a couple hours with Ray and then I had to leave. I really missed not having him all day. Well I continued to feel weak throughout the day and then Sunday rolled around.

I woke up feeling awful on Sunday! All day I felt like that. I laid around on the couch, watched all of my DVR shows, got sick, took a nap. After I woke up I felt a little better. I was well enough to cook hubby some dinner. I had a lot planned for this weekend and really hated that I felt so sick. At least we got some beautiful snow on Sunday. Even though I didn't get out in it, I did take a few pics from the front porch.

On Monday morning I was still a little weak and a little dehydrated. It took me forever to get ready to go to work. I only went in because we had a meeting with the accountant and after that was over I was out of there. I lounged around in bed for the rest of the day and by last night I was feeling normal. Thank goodness.

Well I had had a prayer request and most of it was answered by Wednesday of last week. I really didn't expect the rest to be answered til later this week. However, it was answered ten fold on Thursday. I was so excited and surprised. God is amazing! Thanks to everyone who prayed for me.

Also my father is back home and he is doing well. I wanted to thank everyone for their prayers for him also. It is hard being so far away from him, especially when he's so sick. We just can't convince him to move out here though.

The Bachelor. Now how stupid is Jason? Not as stupid as Molly that's for sure. If I was her I would make him pay for what he did to me. Not to mention that he just broke Melissa's heart. Shouldn't Molly be a little concerned that he is so fickle? No, instead she is kissing on him and to me that was very tacky. I sure wouldn't have been 'ok, I'm yours'. I mean who wants to be someone's second choice? I don't know why I watch this stupid show. Hubby saids what's so special about him? Look at that beak plus he's going to be bald in two years. lol

Have a blessed day!

Birthdays and Musical Monday!

Hello Everyone,

Sorry for my lack of posting. The last weeks of the year and the first few weeks of the year are always my busiest time at work. I have got the old year out of my office and all of my files set up for the new year. Yay!!! I was so sick of files!!!

Speaking of sick. Late Friday evening I got sick and stayed sick til Sunday. I was hoping over the weekend to get some blogging done but never even turned on the computer. So glad I am feeling better today.

Friday was also my brother Ray's birthday. He would have been 38. He passed away when he was 17. Here's a picture of him.

Miss this guy like ya'll wouldn't believe!! It's sad that he's been dead longer than he was alive. Happy Birthday little brother!! Oh and yes this is who my adorable grandson was named after.

It was also Alda's birthday. She is one of the first friends I made when I came to Alabama. Happy 45th Alda!!

**brought to you by Jori and Diane**

So today is Musical Monday and I believe it is the first one that Jori and Diane have hosted. This is a video of Def Leppard - Pour Some Sugar On Me. It was one of my brother's favorite songs and I have a great memory of him singing it and playing air guitar in his room. I'm choosing it in memory of him. Every time I hear it, it brings a smile to my face. I always say well hello Ray!

Have a blessed day!
